FAQ

  • Can I order any back issues in print?

We have limited amounts of back issues available for direct sales. Stories from our back-issue archive may be accessed to anyone who purchases a Kinfolk Online Pass (which comes free with a print subscription). We have done reprints in the past, so to stay up to date with all future reprint announcements, make sure you are subscribed to our weekly newsletter and social media feeds.

  • What is the reason for the high cost of international shipping and handling?

We apologize about the high shipping but unfortunately the shipping cost (even the most basic post) is expensive. We are always looking for shops and stockists overseas to save readers the S/H, so if you have any suggestions of places in your area that would be good fits to carry Kinfolk, do let us know (email info@kinfolk.com). You will be able to find a growing list of stockists available on our website.

  • Who do I contact for press inquiries or possible features?

We don’t do a ton of business/product mentions or spotlights. However, we do like to hear from those who’d like to collaborate or become involved with us in some way. If you have any ideas of how to partner or collaborate, let us know.

  • What forms of payment are accepted?

Kinfolk accepts PayPal, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

  • Do you offer internships?

Kinfolk offers a three-month training and work experience program that will expose the intern to all aspects of the publishing industry (administrative, production, editorial, fulfillment, print, etc.), and encompass activities designed to enrich the intern with valuable skills transferable to the intern’s future career. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis for any of the terms, but decisions will be made roughly 6–8 weeks prior to term start date. Apply now.

  • Is there anyone to contact about copyright infringement?

The Copyright Office has created a directory of designated agents from the designations filed with the Office for those service providers seeking the limitations on liability contained § 512(c). Kinfolk LLC has a designated agent on this list. A copyright owner of an exclusive right, or authorized agent of a copyright owner, may use the Office’s directory to find the designated agent of Kinfolk if they believe Kinfolk is hosting claimed infringing material, and may use that information to send a notification of claimed infringement to Kinfolk’s designated agent. (See § 512(c)(3) for the required elements of notification.)

  • Why can I see some but not all online content?

Everyone can access our new original web stories, City Guides, Films and Galleries.

  • Can I download back issues of Kinfolk to my iPad?
