“In addition to a rotation of Japanese utilitarian objects and interior accents, they collaborate with a select group of artists and designers”

Los Angeles: Iko Iko

Words & Photographs by Jessica Comingore

IKO IKO, which translates to, “Let’s go!” is a Los Angeles–based concept gallery focusing on high craft and design pieces.

Owners Kristin Dickson and Shin Okuda aim to share an experience through pieces that show an unexpected and inspiring approach. In addition to a rotation of Japanese utilitarian objects and interior accents, they collaborate with a select group of artists and designers to create collections custom to their shop. Both Kristin and Shin carry their own creations (clothing and accessory line Rowena Sartin and Waka Waka handmade furniture) alongside work from artists and designers from Los Angeles, New York and abroad.
