Patricia Ortiz Monasterio and Jaime Riestra founded Galería OMR in 1983 to showcase contemporary Mexican art and artists. The gallery recently moved and today spans several floors of a brutalist building in the bustling heart of Mexico City’s Roma Norte neighborhood. Now run by the founders’ son, Cristobal Riestra, Galería OMR shows avant-garde artists that have become an integral part of the Mexican art scene.
