Hailed as one of the most epochal science fiction films of all time, Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey helped shape cultural dialogue about the future throughout the latter part of the 20th century. In the final minutes of the film, Kubrick brings the viewer (through the eyes of astronaut Dr. David Bowman) into a bedroom in which neoclassicism and futurism—old-age objects with bright LED-lit floors—are juxtaposed, creating an iconic setting.
Now, the recently opened The 14th Factory in Los Angeles gives visitors the opportunity to become part of the Kubrickian space.
