A chef’s toque is only one of many hats worn by Matty Matheson. The Canadian restaurateur presently has five businesses to his name—Matty’s Patty’s Burger Club, Prime Seafood Palace, Rizzo’s House of Parm, Maker Pizza and Cà Phê Rang—and a sixth is on the way. Formerly a regular on videos for Vice, he now has 1.5 million subscribers to his own YouTube channel and his third cookbook, Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, was published in October. Then there’s Blue Goose Farm in Ontario, which supplies his restaurants, a collection of kitchen utensils, Matheson Cookware, and his line of pantry staples.
