Nobu BarcelonaSignature Nobu style, now in Spain.

When designing Nobu’s first outpost in Spain, architect and designer David Rockwell faced a striking brief: transform an 80-metre-tall office block in Sant—one of Barcelona’s more overlooked neighborhoods—into a destination hotel worthy of the Nobu name. He rose to the challenge by fusing Japanese and Spanish aesthetics with inimitable flair, from the Shinto temple-inspired entryway to the shattered tile detailing that recalls both kintsugi and Gaudí in equal measure. No longer an office block, Nobu Barcelona now exudes a chic, meditative calm, defined by sweeping timber staircases, earthy tones and clean architectural lines. Below ground, the spa offers signature Nobu Spa Rituals, while the suites above are outfitted with luxurious onsen-style bathtubs. The crown jewel is the 23rd-floor sushi restaurant, overseen by Nobu Matsuhisa himself, where guests enjoy panoramic night-time views of the city alongside iconic dishes like Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Sashimi.
