“We loved the fact that it was rundown as it gave us a chance to make the building our home,” she says.

Al even apprenticed as a builder’s assistant during the construction, working on-site every day. But these two weren’t strangers to the remodeling process. “When we were teenagers living on a rose farm, we bought an old house that was getting demolished and moved it on a truck to our property,” she says.

The brother and sister duo now runs the fashion brand Alpha60 and have added Al’s partner Virginia Martin, Georgie’s partner Pino Demaio and a 20-month-old child named Wren to their family.
