A contemporary design-led take on Ritz Carlton’s classic approach to hospitality, the new NoMad property exemplifies how the brand has set its sights on the next generation. The slim, 50-story structure absorbs the energy of the busy neighborhood that surrounds it through a roster of exciting restaurant spaces, including Zaytinya, an all-day mezze restaurant under the direction of Michelin-starred chef José Andrés, and Nubeluz, a cocktail bar with panoramic views over the Manhattan skyline. Nods to the neighborhood’s history as a flower district are made through motifs designed by Barcelona studio Lázaro Rosa-Violán, such as the petal-shaped brass chandeliers, floral mosaic floors and suspended fern planters. Guest rooms are situated above the 14th floor, which means spectacular views of the skyline come as standard.
