Vipp FarmhouseA slice of Scandinavian summer.

Vipp FarmhouseA slice of Scandinavian summer.

A thatched-roof, whitewashed cottage set amid rolling countryside: few images capture the charm of a Danish farmhouse more vividly. On Lolland, about two hours south of Copenhagen, the Vipp Farmhouse embodies this idyllic vision. Once a gardener’s cottage dating back to 1775, the guesthouse has been carefully restored by Danish design brand Vipp—best known for their iconic steel bins—and is surrounded by the endless fields, forests and gardens of the Søllestegaard estate. Inside, designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard has reimagined the interiors with a modern Scandinavian minimalism: A spacious Vipp kitchen anchors the space, while furnishings, from sofas to lighting, also bear the brand’s signature aesthetic. Thoughtful touches—art, interesting books and textiles—ensure the farmhouse feels warm and lived-in, rather than simply a showroom.
