Sophie Bille Brahe is a fine jewelry designer based in Copenhagen. Her celestial jewels often take inspiration from her ancestor Tycho Brahe, a renowned 16th-century astronomer who discovered a supernova in the Cassiopeia constellation. 

Rosalind Jana: Are you a night owl or an early bird?

Sophie Bille Brahe: I’m both. I enjoy the time I have by myself: late evening or early morning. But if I had to choose, I would be getting up early. . . . I had a little girl two years ago, but before her, my favorite time to work was five o’clock in the morning. 

RJ: Do you have an evening routine? 

SBB: I live close to the sea. When my kid is asleep, I go for a small evening walk with my dog. That’s where I [sort out] all the thoughts that I didn’t think through to the end during the day....
