Lights Down Low

A new glow for the dark season, in partnership with Marset.

Words by John Burns Photography by Staffan Sundström

Now that the clocks have sprung back for winter, light is scarce and sacred. Gloomy days quickly give way to long nights, and many people in the Northern hemisphere change the rhythm of their working days to steal slithers of daylight where possible. But the enveloping darkness also enlivens us to new, more creative ways of bringing light into the home. Here, our creative team plays with Marset’s new collection of Dipping Lights to create an ambient glow in Kinfolk’s Copenhagen office. Designed by Jordi Canudas, the series experiments with concentric circles of paint to color, moderate and texturize light intensity.

This post was produced in partnership with Marset.
