It’s not the Dane’s fondness for corduroy trousers or his longing to live in the countryside with a rabble of dogs that would score him the title—although, admittedly, they’re both strong contenders. Instead, it’s the fashion designer’s unabashed niceness that sets him apart, and that resonates when designing clothes for a clientele he imagines to be an equally affable bunch.
