Surrounded by meadow, woodland and farmland on the southern tip of Gotland, Sibbjäns brings a distinctly contemporary approach to the farmstay. The project is the work of Sanna and Pontus Rönn, a film-industry couple with a longstanding connection to the island, and their friends Jonas Nordlander and Kina Zeidler. Their original idea—a B&B and summer restaurant—grew over four years into a luxury hotel and regenerative farm. The nine-room 19th-century farmhouse was restored with local craftspeople, its sophisticated interiors combining reclaimed oak, contemporary art, vintage Scandinavian furniture and tactile textiles; there is also a simple bunkhouse offering extra rooms with shared facilities. Beyond are wildflower meadows, a natural swimming pool and sauna, while the farm supplies ingredients for the restaurant. The same attention extends to the property’s environmental footprint: rainwater is collected across the estate, food and garden waste is returned to the soil and water-saving showers recycle water as guests wash.
