The Bank of London and South America building: This is an iconic Brutalist building in downtown Buenos Aires by the Italian Argentinian architect Clorindo Testa. It’s just incredible, and I love that it’s right across from a very traditional 19th-century building. One of the things I enjoy about Buenos Aires is the architecture—in just one block you can find so many different styles that together are somehow harmonious.
A Woman Under the Influence, John Cassavetes: Gena Rowlands’ performance is so brilliant in this movie.
Galerie Sardine: I saw their recent show with Justin Bradshaw and Maria Robledo. Their space in New York is gorgeous and I loved how it brought together the artists’ different worlds.
Northern Argentina: I go to the mountains, open landscapes and clear skies of the Salta and Jujuy provinces in the north of Argentina for the light, space and silence. It is calm and powerful at the same time, and the colors—pale rose, ocher, yellow, purple—change throughout the day. You can stay in a nice estancia, drink wine in bodegas and eat very good empanadas.
