NUMEROLOGY
I haven’t ever really done party games, but when I feel like it, I give numerology readings. It’s very fun agreeing or disagreeing with the different interpretations.

CARROM
I love to play carrom, a four-player board game that involves potting little shiny disks with a flick of your fingers. I love how it unites old and young players, and the most unassuming auntie or young kid will turn out to be a wonder.

“WHO IS 35?”
A game my mate Dan likes to play is trying to guess which celebrities are a certain age. So, someone throws out an age, “Who is 35?”, and then the crew have to taking turns coming up with names. It sounds really easy, but it’s actually really tricky. When you come within a few months of being right, it’ll drive you mad.

15-20
A Chinese drinking game called 15-20. It’s a guessing game where, at the same time as you call out a number—a multiple of five between zero and 20—people have to try to guess it by opening and closing their hands: One open hand equals five, two hands equals 10, a closed hand means zero. There are many strategies: Some like to be fast and confusing, others are deliberate and will almost trick you into doing what they want you to do. It’s a great game for the end of an evening.

IBBLE DIBBLE
I don’t do party games very often, but of all my childhood Christmases there was one particularly warm and merry one (when I was of an age just to start drinking) when we played Ibble Dibble. I have the fondest memories of raucous laughter and goodwill. It is a somewhat ridiculous, and preposterously British, game. The rules are a little complicated, so best to look them up online.
